Ahhh, Myrra. A character whom I have had a blast playing through both her incarnations. Incarnations that never had her in her native 'game system'. }:)

Myrra was a Cizerack, a race of feline creatures from the Battlelords game, from ODS/SSDC. I loved the concept of the race, go figure :P. But it wasn't your average 'morphic feline, no, this one had some class to it. Non anthropomorphisised in their body form, but intelligent, able to stand on two paws if need be (though unstable), and otherwise very cat-like. Now all we need is a link… }:)     Link!

HISTORY:   Rifts

First apearances...

Myrra first showed up, named Kreesha in this case, as a character in Rifts. Well, no, that would've been to easy. No, see, she was first transplanted into the Macross II timeline/universe, THEN dropped into Rifts. Stay with me here. The Cizerack homeworld was one that was discovered after the events of the Macross II movies/OVA. Shake for a decade or so, and we had a Cizerack who was part of the micronized Meltran forces. Sound interesting? Her full history is linked below, including whom she was Rifted into the world with.

Ah, and what fun she had in the Rifts world. Having a VF-XX helped a lot. Hehe, yes, full Rifts munchkin madness. Though in all fairness (and my defence };) our mecha didn't play that much of a role most of the time (RP abounds!) and in the end the GM got quite sick of our mecha's power and nuked 'em from orbit. Pretty much literally too. Unfortunately, the campaign ended soon thereafter as the GM had to move away…

Before the end we'd waded through Chi-Town (good disguise, did I have, let me tell you…), plowed through the Mechanoids, dinged off a few bandits here and there, and had many a drink with a very odd NPC named Khettis.

She was fun. }:) But even more fun when resurrected for…

HISTORY:   ST:TNG RPG
To the bridge...

Time to graft the Cizerack homeworld into the Federation for a Star Trek: Next Gen game, which worked out relatively well enough, methinks. 'tis linked below for your reading pleasure, with the usual Cizerack history and a pinch of discovery.

Her history (also linked below) was fun to write, with a few ideas liberated from the base ST universe and a dose of the dramatic. The ICON system used in the ST:TNG game was likewise flexible enough to allow me to put her into the game without any problem, and the GM was not adverse at all to the idea.

Actually, the GM has to be one of the most fantastic GMs I have ever played under-if there is one reason I am sad for having moved away, it would have to be that I had to leave that campaign. Her plots were excellent, her pacing excellent, her style excellent, her immersion excellent… hell, it's the only time I have ever been in a game where the entire group of players spontaneously CHEERS because of something that just happened in the game that surprised, amused and amazed us all. Wow. (If you are reading this, you know who you are }:> More than well done!)

It should be no surprise then that she was an absolute blast to play. She was much more feline in this incarnation, with some fun behavioural quirks and actions that would appear from time to time. Like sitting down in a hallway, tail twitching when she was unsure of what to do next, ears swivelling to follow a sound (with hand motions from the player in imitation), or pouncing and gorging on a foe because, well, she'd been cooped up on a ship for a wee bit too long and now she was hunting in a forest }:) She had her own holodeck programs, carried isolinear chips with her to have screens layed out to fit her physique/paws. Wore no clothes save a collar with rank pips and some utility items. Liked to run around to think (outer docking ring (torus) of the station). She was assigned to tactical (no surprise) though the ship assigned to where she was wasn't exactly a combat ship...

The group dynamics were pretty good too, though all being federation officers made teamwork easy to come by. The concept of the campaign was great… outpost Zeta 717. Sounds REEEAAAL important, doesn't it? Heh, not even close, no this would most definitively qualify as backwater country. So we were all misfits or screw-ups in one way or the other, with interesting histories to match. But funny how little, out of the way places can find intrigue and action when the camera is turned onto them…

Which I may chronicle in full someday. }:)

Myrra's goal was to work her way back up into good standing and be re-assigned to the Frith under her old Captain. She was trying hard to excel and to keep herself under control, but the latter was certainly a struggle under all the strange events unfolding around her, and a struggle she sometimes lost. But it usually turned out well enough.

The campaign continued for a short while after I moved away, and it sounded like it was still amazing. I don't know what happened to Myrra, but I'm sure she's doing just fine.
