| | | | I've always been a writer... I just took a break for seven years. I know my writing isn't on par with most of the stuff out there, but it's not Star Trek fanfiction or badly written
sex stories either. My stories cover my favorite subject: emotions and the people who experience them. I also try and stick a morality message in what I write. My characters have a lesson to teach but they do it in a way that doesn't smack you upside the head. Sadly, a lot of my writing inspiration comes from "I can do better" vibes after reading something I don't like. As editor for a fanzine that accepts stories I see quite a few that bother
me. Either someone can't write a story without the main character getting naked at some point or I find myself utterly hating the characters for having no sense for themselves. But writing is just a hobby. Like art, I think that if I did it for money it would lose the appeal as I would have to follow deadlines and have editors gnawing on my ankles. Because of this I try to make my better and more polished stuff freely available for people to read. I hope
you enjoy. |

| The Tale of Inala and Barada - What do you get in a society with no morals who worship goddesses that represent the various vices of society? Why, you get a story about how two lover/sister goddesses travel to the realm of mortals and trick them out of their wealth and possessions. This might be one of my most racy stories yet, but if you're looking for steamy sex scenes you'll probably be disappointed. ( Just FYI -- Inala is the goddess of pleasure, Barada is the goddess of secrets, Zakaro is the goddess of sorcery, Repath is the goddess of vengeance, Sunala is the goddess of death, Blakat is the goddess of assassins, and Gorphat is the goddess if disease. Everyone in the story is an anthro-bat as well.)
| The Tour - An experiment in getting to know some characters that are proving to be difficult to write about. I've decided to write journal entries for each of the band members on their first month together on their first tour. This is more of a personal thing for me, but I figure that anyone interested should be able to take a look as well. It'll either be really neat to read or boring as all get out. |
Thy Will Be Done - This little vignette was inspired as I thought back to my Apologetics class and also some experiences with atheists who seem to be what they are not because of any scientific conclusion, but because they hate God and hate anyone who follows Him. I came to the personal revelation that the gates to Hell truly are locked from the inside. Just to be fair, this is written from first person -- I am the atheist in this story. I believe that man of faith constantly walks on a knife edge, any moment they may fall into the abyss if they are not careful. Anyhow though, if you don't like religious preachy stuff then don't read this.
| Awakenings - My first story in a LOOONG time. This ended up getting published in Pawprints fanzine's 10th issue with about 14 illos by Greywolf. It's a story about Fenter, a magician who doesn't have much in the way of drive in his life and how he finally takes the step to responsibility. At the end of the story you can see my list of drawing ideas for potential story illos.
| Sword's Anthem - (UNFINISHED) My next story and currently a work in progress. You'll notice there's pictures of the main character, a wolf named Jon, in the Gallery. His story is about the gifts people are born with and how it's wrong to neglect what you have over the desire to have something else. | The Dryad - (Draft - needs to be majorly cleaned up and edited) A story about Willow and her daughter, Nene. This story just popped into my head one day as a self challenge to see if I could write a complete story in one day. I'm not completely pleased with it but I think I managed to touch on the emotions I was wanting at the very least. I think the moral I deeply buried in it is that you shouldn't hold the happiness of others hostage and that you shouldn't neglect the future because of past mistakes, or perceived mistakes.
| 12:51PM, Colonial and Alafaya - A conversation with my friend Jordan "Greywolf" Peacock about writing little slices of life as practice was the inspiration for this tiny little story fragment. Written in about fifteen minutes. I was trying to capture the emotions of a real moment. A mundane moment, something that happens all the time... but still something that can affect someone. |
