Lael has been in the entertainment industry ever since she was a child.  Her parents were carnies with a traveling fair until they found it impossible to support themselves plus a newborn baby girl.  From there they managed to get jobs at a local stadium selling tickets and working on lighting for concerts.

At the age of eighteen she married her boyfriend of six months, he was a security man she'd met at one of the concerts her parents managed to get her into.

After the marriage, wherever her husband went, so did she and quickly picked up on the workings of the business.  It wasn't long afterwards that she found work doing promotional jobs for various bands and making a fairly decent living.

Her marriage ended rather abruptly when she caught wind of an affair her husband was having with an underage groupie.  She bluntly told him not to give her any trouble with the divorce proceedings or she'd spread the word that he was a pedophile and ruin him.

Since  then Lael has thrown herself into her work.  She left the big concert circuit to get away from her ex-husband and has tried her hand at getting new bands started.

So far she's yet to strike it big, but she's not gone destitute yet either.  Most of her bands have a few successful concerts and then dissolve for one reason or another.

Lael is in her mid thirties now and puts on airs of being wise to the world or old and bitter most of the time.  She's never considered  getting remarried and wears her old wedding band around her neck as a reminder to 'not make another stupid mistake like that again'.  She's a practical woman now, although she tends to be a bit harsh and cynical in circumstances that would do better with a gentler touch.

When asked how to fund success in the entertainment industry, Lael will usually respond with, "Work hard, eat cheap, argue lots, sleep little."
