The following are examples of my artwork. Besides simply showing you each picture, I'm also going to tell you the story behind each and every one, just so you know what each image means to me and what might have been the inspiration behind it. All the pictures are available as prints for sale. Click HERE if you want info on what I have available for sale. You're bound to find something you like, and probably something you can afford.

[IMAGE] This is a picture of a Fennec. The medium is colored pencils blended with turpentine. The original was 9" x 12" and was sold at Duckon in May of '96. I wanted to do a picture of a fennec, and also tried many experimental things with light and color in this picture that I'd never tried before.

[IMAGE]I have always been a lover of Gryphons. I think birds are amazing creatures, especially birds of prey. This is a picture of a gryphon trying to steal a box of cookies! The original was sold at ConFurence Seven in January of '96. This is probably one of my most popular prints as well. The cat character featured in this picture is my furry "persona," known as Gen.

[IMAGE]A picture of a werewolf with a crystal! I work in black and white a bit, but it never sells as well as color work, so I never work on any intricately detailed inking. Instead I opt for bold black lines and large areas of black. They reduce well, copy well (if you can find a machine that can handle the black bits), and, to me at least, look much cleaner than tons of detail. [IMAGE]This is a picture of a Dragon with a gong. I drew this one for a program book for a convention whose theme this year is about music. I figured everyone would be drawing pictures of characters playing saxaphones, guitars, and other normal insturments... so I opted for something a bit different. I also have a thing for fantasy creatures, which has led to my latest comic project Blood From a Stone. Most of the dragons I draw are based on Asian dragons, the mythical dragons of the Orient that brought luck and good fortune.

[IMAGE]You remember this guy from the title page! I did this one as an exercise in animal anatomy, and then just had fun with it. It's hard to tell, but the mouse dangling from the gryphon's mouth has a grumpy expression on his face. I plan to turn this one into a cel someday for a con.

[IMAGE]I'd never drawn a kangaroo before, so decided to try. This picture was colored in watercolors instead of my usual colored pencil and turpentine technique. Since this picture's so dinky, you might have trouble seeing the bunny sitting on the 'roo's foot, helping her tie her shoelaces. I work in watercolor occasionally, as I'm fond of the "softness" you can get in color variation that you just can't get out of markers, but the coloring process is also a slow one (not to mention MESSY!).

[IMAGE]This is a picture of one of my more popular characters, Amber. She's quite athletic, so I decided to draw a picture of her working out. This picture was done as a commission for somebody who liked the character. I was lucky enough to get a customer who simply asked for "a picture of Amber" and allowed my imagination to decide what she was going to be doing. Usually customers tend to be rather specific about such things. I really loved the way the movement of the character came out in this picture.
