Chiri the ratrat, later to become Willow..  My first female character.  I wanted to play something a bit less 'warm' for a change so I whipped up a scrawny rat.  If I'd only known what she was going to become later...

Name:    Chiria Naochi (formerly) - Willow the Wisp Dack (presently)

Aliases:  Sawbones, Lady Sharptooth of the Bloody shekel

Sex:  Female

Species: Skreek, (rat)

Age:  30

Height:  5'6"

Weight:  100lbs

Occupation: Medical practitioner, former pirate

Chiri is bitter and spiteful.  She's sexist, rude, and rather cold even in circumstances that would  require a certain measure of compassion.  The world never gave a flip about her, so she could give a flip about the world.  She's one of my few characters that is a staunch atheist (most people on Sinai believe in the 'First ones' or the 'Star' or beings known as the Sifras), but it just seemed to be what someone like her would choose to believe in.  She also has a bad smoking habit.

Like all rats  of Sinai, she was born as guttertrash.  A stinking garbage eating rat.  The odd surface mutations caused by the magical fields of Sinai gave her a form that was quite different from other rats... namely while most Skreeks are short and digitgrade, chiri was tall, slender, and plantigrade.  To other rats she was an ugly creature; and to everyone else she was a joke... a bit of garbage trying to pretend to be a 'real person'.  Shunned on both sides, chiri got back the best way she knew how... she became a pirate.

She adored the pirate life, she could loot and kill and lash out at all the people who ever laughed at her.  She was a terror, a nimble creature with a sharp blade and a burning hatred for everyone.  she lived like this for over five years, learning a few languages and how to patch up her friends... but slowly the life began to wear on her.  Slowly it began  to sink in that all of the throats she cut didn't do one thing to ease the pain inside of her.  She didn't know what would... but was starting to believe that piracy wasn't it anymore.

The thing that made her quit piracy was when her ship, The Bloody Shekel, was attacked by a rival pirate band.  During the attack her head was smashed against the desk of her crippled ship and she blacked out... awakening  to find herself floating in the ocean near the Gigi coast.  She suffered some slight brain damage and ever since the attack she has no sense of smell or taste.

Afterwards she went to Rephidim, wearing a scarf over her head to hide the scars and carving out the Bloody shekel's brand on her shoulder with a dagger.  She used the skills she had learned on the ship, languages and medical work, to earn a  small living and eventually bought a healing tent of her own.  She also purchased a slave as a bodyguard... since the only way you 'leave' piracy is to be carried out in a coffin.  If any of her crewmates ever knew she was still alive she'd have a deathmark on her... if there isn't one right now.

Then everything changed.  She was almost killed by a demon and decided to cash in on the mage's guild that owed her a favor for information and had her apperance changed to what you see on the right of this page (Those are fur tattoo markings under her eye, not funly eyelashes).  She changed ner name to Willow the Wisp and went traveling by airship again.

Her adventures changed her and showed her many things.  She saw more of the cruelty of the world, ran into her old captain (and killed him) and dealt with dark gods and old civilizations.

But that's not the big thing that changed.  My athiest rat, my hateful bitter character became a believer of the Star in a roleplay session that left both me and the GM in tears.  Her questions were answered, she was given her comfort, and finally given a chance tolet go of the big  mountain of hate she'd fed off of for so long.

She proposed to Prince Sebazhan Dack of Kroz and married him a few months later.  Their daughter soon followed, Jezebel Nene Dack.

Her adventures still continue, but not along the path I thought they would anymore.  Wow.
