Ten reasons why reparations are a bad idea. You know, usually I find a lot of crap not worth reading on Salon. Guess I got lucky today.
Genesis Whitmore 9/8/2001 04:47:07 PM
Apparently Gary Groth and Scott McCloud are having a little spat over Understanding Comics.

Genesis Whitmore 9/8/2001 01:09:57 PM
Here's another reason why the ACLU is messed up if you think the previous entry was just an isolated incident.
Genesis Whitmore 9/8/2001 11:38:41 AM
A really great article on why the ACLU is screwed up.
Genesis Whitmore 9/8/2001 03:15:45 AM

No we don't.
Genesis Whitmore 9/7/2001 08:35:25 PM
Mike The Headless Chicken... this page has an annoying imbedded song, but it's amusing nontheless. A story about a chicken that got its head lopped off but somehow managed to live for 18 months afterwards.
Genesis Whitmore 9/7/2001 02:15:35 PM
Nobody Here freaks me out... just looking at the front graphic confuses me so much that I've dared not click any links!
Genesis Whitmore 9/7/2001 11:09:02 AM
My artist friends might like this. A man who hammers drawing impliments into his face and then scribbles pictures. Talk about suffering for your art...
Genesis Whitmore 9/7/2001 10:53:27 AM
The Jonestown Re-enactment... well, at least you get free Kool-Aid.
Genesis Whitmore 9/7/2001 02:40:45 AM
You know, I'd like to find out a little bit more about these people before I'd label them as a cult. Funky statue though...
Genesis Whitmore 9/7/2001 12:50:24 AM
I hear that the Honda Insight gets 58 miles per gallon in the city, and 70+ on the highway. Nifty little car.

Genesis Whitmore 9/6/2001 01:39:11 PM
An interview with Spider Robinson, author of Callahan's Crosstime Saloon. Is it me or does he seem fed up with the same old line of questions?
Genesis Whitmore 9/6/2001 01:53:40 AM
A man's plan to get laid at DragonCon 2001 fails, courtsey of The Onion.
Genesis Whitmore 9/6/2001 01:29:47 AM

Genesis Whitmore 9/6/2001 12:51:09 AM
If I could have any laptop in the world, I'd probably pick this one, stuffed to the gills with features.

Sodazoo is something that defies description. Odd little kinetic sculpture critters that you can tweak and bend and squash.
Genesis Whitmore 9/5/2001 09:39:33 PM
Disney caters to the PC crowd again. I bet the toy muskets are going to turn into collectors items really quick.
Genesis Whitmore 9/5/2001 12:39:40 PM
Janet Reno is not off to a good start.
Genesis Whitmore 9/5/2001 12:31:32 PM
You know, I bristle at every mention of slavery reparations. I'm decended from Irish, Polish, and German immigrants... plus I'm 1/4 Native American. None of us were slaveowners, so why should my tax dollars go to pay for crimes I'm not responsible for?
Genesis Whitmore 9/5/2001 12:29:59 PM
There was a poll on TV about Janet Reno's governor campaign. 33% said they would vote for her and 66% said they would not. Personally, I think there should have been a 'hell no!' option which probably would have gotten 33%.
Genesis Whitmore 9/5/2001 02:10:14 AM
Ain't No Way To Go is a site about really horrible/stupid/pointless ways people have died.
Genesis Whitmore 9/5/2001 12:27:51 AM
The Cockatiel mutation project isn't as cool as it sounds, alas. But it's another one of those names that just makes you giggle.
Genesis Whitmore 9/5/2001 12:12:29 AM
I was idly floating through pages on birds and came across Finchworld. Just the name sets me into giggles.

Can the 1200 murdered farmers ask for reparations too?
Genesis Whitmore 9/4/2001 04:46:07 PM
Woohoo! The US shows some rocks finally as Powell Pulls U.S. Out of the U.N. Racism Conference! Although I don't entirely support everything Israel is doing in their country, I also think they're being bullied and given the short end of the stick in a lot of matters... plus the whole 'racism conference' is a farce. What about the Taliban? What about Muslim women? What about the tribal killings in south Africa?
Genesis Whitmore 9/4/2001 04:36:39 PM
Earlier this year my husband and I bought a couple of barebone systems from Accubyte and they're still going strong. If you happen to be in the market for a good computer at a low price you might wanna check these guys out.
Genesis Whitmore 9/4/2001 04:17:30 PM
My gum has a web page.

Genesis Whitmore 9/4/2001 01:57:14 AM
A really great interview with Michael O'Brien, who wrote "Father Elijah", one of my favorite books.
Genesis Whitmore 9/4/2001 01:51:25 AM
The biggest negative thing I've heard about homeschooling is the lack of socilization children get, well this is a pretty good rebuttal in my opinion.

Something about the comic FEW and FAR Between reminds me of Little Nemo.
Genesis Whitmore 9/3/2001 09:58:36 PM
Fireman Comics reminds me a bit of Pokey the Penguin on LSD, if such a thing is possible.
Genesis Whitmore 9/3/2001 09:11:19 PM
The URL I provided a few days ago on faking one's death has been shut down by lawyers. Awwww!
Genesis Whitmore 9/3/2001 03:31:32 PM
Oh good lord, she's really going to run.
Genesis Whitmore 9/3/2001 08:52:16 AM
A web site about a fellow that wants to chop off his feet and pay a viewing fee on the internet so he can buy new ones.
Genesis Whitmore 9/3/2001 08:42:00 AM
A web page with information about Lenny, the Chocolate Moose. The things you find!
Genesis Whitmore 9/3/2001 01:56:27 AM

An interview with the World of Hell group. A bunch of apparent hackers that like hitting big sites. Amazing for all of their supposed skill they can't type like normal human beings.
Genesis Whitmore 9/2/2001 10:36:25 PM
Roadfood.com looks like a good place to poke at if one is planning on a long road trip.
Genesis Whitmore 9/2/2001 08:44:47 PM
The Fright Site looks cool. Not as cool as Ninjai but cool nontheless.
Genesis Whitmore 9/2/2001 08:02:38 PM
Dung-Flavored Beer? Although admittedly it all sort of tastes that way to me...
Genesis Whitmore 9/2/2001 01:05:32 PM
And here's a company that makes natural food for animals that appartently fits into the raw meat diet.
Genesis Whitmore 9/2/2001 12:53:01 PM
While looking for more info on the bones and raw meat diet for pets, I came across this page that gives information on bone impactions.
Genesis Whitmore 9/2/2001 12:45:55 PM
Yummy! Don't you want a taste of some Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream?
Genesis Whitmore 9/2/2001 12:09:05 PM
Hmmm, a sequel and a prequel to Omega Code, called Megiddo. All I know is that Omega Code was dull, and I don't expect much better from this if the same team is working on it.
