Incidents like this are why I want to move to Arizona. Conservative states aren't much better than liberal ones at times. If my son wants to wear an earring, a nose ring, or a tongue ring to school then why the heck not? I ain't paying for him to have it done but if he wants it he shouldn't be treated like a kid bringing a gun to school. (also another reason why I'm continuing to look into homeschool options.)

Sonlight Curriculum looks to be a good homeschool system. It's christian (90% of homeschool resources are) but isn't afraid to teach evoloution in it's lessons. Just because I may believe in creationism doesn't mean that I don't want my kids to be taught other theories.

Check out the Daft Punk / Leiji Matsumoto Music Videos. This is the guy that created Captain Harlock. I think the freakiest thing about them is the fact that when the anime characters mouth the words to the songs they do it in english! I've gotten so used to dubbing that it weirds me out...
