And on a lighter note, Crazyquilt's music is some of the neatest stuff I've heard in awhile. I like the chimera he's molded out of American Indian, Asian, and other genres.

Personally, I found Bush's decision regarding stem cell research to be a fair compromise, and far less wimpy than I was expecting of him. So human embryos will not be created for the sole purpose of harvesting stem cells from, but ones left over from fertility usage that would have been destroyed anyway will be. It doesn't sit comfortably, but it sits better than embryos created souly for harvesting purposes would. It should also be noted that stem cells can be obtained from adult human donors, and from umbilical cords left over from childbirth.

Looks like the Brits have an extremely low opinion of George Bush and his slant on Stem Cell research. Of course, life seems to have far less meaning and value in Europe than here...

Whoop, another character death in 11WillDie today. That leaves one left to go. I was wondering if the people in charge of the votes for who lives and dies would pick the two female characters or not. Guess I got my answer.

Another cool Alice Cooper interview. Nothing that I didn't know already, but this one's fairly recent.

Ah-hah! I have found The Interactive Fiction Archive! Pardon me as what little shreds of a life I have dwindle away into nothingness... Who needs Quake?
Genesis Whitmore 8/9/2001 06:15:16 PM

Ah yes, The Amazing Randi still has his foundation going on good and strong. I love his $1,000,000 challenge -- which incidentally nobody has managed to cash in on yet.

I was Adalita Srsen in a past life according to the Diva Test. Who the heck is Adalita Srsen?
Genesis Whitmore 8/9/2001 05:16:37 PM

Stainboy is cool. Tim Burton should stick with his own stuff and not mess with apes.
Genesis Whitmore 8/9/2001 04:39:59 PM

If they made an Eyrie toy, I'd be right there. The Cybunny and Scorchio are cute though.
Genesis Whitmore 8/9/2001 04:32:11 PM

Those spy cameras in Tampa have managed to catch an innocent man. I really hope they yank those things soon, I don't like having them in my backyard.
Genesis Whitmore 8/9/2001 08:15:37 AM

As much as folks want the whole election fiasco to be over, I still find this article to be a good enough reason to have very little pity for those screaming racism and bias. Watch as Mary Frances Berry tries to suppres voices of dissent from her own commitee, and refuses to even consider voter error as a factor.

So You Wanna....? Cool site! It has all sorts of little explinations on how to do things. Some useful, some informative, and some downright silly.
Genesis Whitmore 8/8/2001 07:56:15 PM

Have you seen Memento yet? I think it's the most innovative movie to come out this year, and really made up for my dissapointment in Final Fantasy, the Movie. I hope Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings don't similarly dissapoint.

I just saw Prelude to Eden, a cool short animated film about the big bang. I've gotta find more from this guy I think...
Genesis Whitmore 8/8/2001 06:02:13 PM

More cruelty, but darn if it isn't true!!!
Genesis Whitmore 8/8/2001 05:09:15 PM

Hobbits... threat or menace? I had no idea that it was so dangerous to be a hobbit these days.
Genesis Whitmore 8/8/2001 11:02:52 AM

Why isn't this story getting more news attention? More and more I'm beginning to think that Muslims are a sick bunch.
Genesis Whitmore 8/8/2001 10:47:58 AM

This is useful; a page listing the possible causes and remidies for canker sores. I have an allergy to eggs and always break out in the things whenever I eat more than one whole egg. I guess I have the food allergy they mentioned.

I came across Do No Harm - The Coalition of Americans for Research Ethics while trying to find an anti-stem cell research site. I guess I'm just another conservative fundie (despite the fact that I'm a libertarian) but I really can't believe how so many people, even some pro-life folks support stem cell research. You may claim that a few cells can't possibly be a living human being, but can you deny that if you placed an embryo in a womb that it wouldn't develop into a human being? How does that make it less human?
Genesis Whitmore 8/7/2001 09:06:30 PM

Cruel... but... BWA-HAHHAHHAAAHAHAHAH!!!!! *snort* ahem...
Genesis Whitmore 8/7/2001 04:37:36 PM

I really think that someone has the wrong idea about the whole God/Jesus/You relationship thingie. Of course, considering that the whole thing was inspired by a church billboard with a catchy phrase I'm really not that surprised. Personally, I don't see it as God punishing people who choose not to worship him as him simply saying at the end of it all "You wanted to live without me, so I shall let you do so". People punish themselves just fine.
Genesis Whitmore 8/7/2001 03:38:21 PM

Ooooh, might wanna snag a thing or two from here considering that my own handwriting tends to suck. Comic fonts for lettering comics.

From the New York Post, Gun News You Never See. When will people realize that more firearms are used to prevent crime than in actual crime situations? It is a statistically proven fact that crime rates are lower in areas where people are allowed to carry concealed and own firearms than in areas where such things are banned.

Dog instructions. Pet here.

Have you tried Sneakemail yet? It's a nifty way to generate e-mail addresses that point to your mailbox but can be discarded and replaced with new ones if the spam count starts to get high.
Genesis Whitmore 8/7/2001 01:00:26 AM

I wouldn't mind driving one of these around. A shame there's only about 48 in existance.

A final update for this year's Seattle Peregrine Project. One falcon died soon after hatching, another bashed against a building during flight. The remaining two from the original clutch of four are doing fine, at least.

Yowzah! A big page full of alternative homeopathic and herbal remidies for all kinds of stuff! I'm getting into this a little bit because a few of my forays into homeopathy have been rather successful. Just remember to check your sources and not take the word of just one person or you might be doing damage to yourself.
Genesis Whitmore 8/6/2001 09:30:23 PM

Attack of the Clones?!?!!? Two years of waiting and it's Attack of the Clones?!?!?! I liked 'Rise of the Empire' better. Attack of the Clones... peh...
Genesis Whitmore 8/6/2001 05:01:35 PM

Holy hoppin Elvises!!! The California legistlature actually made a ruling in favor of gun manufacturers, stating that victims can't sue weapons makers. This is obvious common sence to me, but I'm suprised that such an anti-gun state like California actually did it. I wonder if there'll be any sort of appeal...
Genesis Whitmore 8/6/2001 04:43:50 PM

I'm not too sure what to think of the idea of feeding raw meat and bones to a dog instead of using commercial dog food. I would think that such a diet would require lots of measuring portions and vitamin supplements. But on the other hand, I know that one of the biggest killers of pet cats is urinary tract infections cause by years of eating badly made catfood. I'd like to hear more on the negative side before making a decision.
Genesis Whitmore 8/6/2001 12:59:26 PM

For some reason I thought Dashiel Hammett wrote this (he was the author of the Maltese Falcon, and was later blacklisted from the entertainment inductry because of the whole communist scare). but it turns out I was mistaken. If you've nothing better to do, read "Death Pays a Social Call" by Damon Runyon. Mr. Runyon wrote the stories that were later adapted into "Guys and Dolls", this particular one was the last story he ever wrote... although it isn't particularly his finest. I never knew that the word "Duffy" was slang!
Genesis Whitmore 8/6/2001 12:45:25 PM

More Alice Cooper images... Here's Darth Alice? I think the lightsaber could have been done better.
Genesis Whitmore 8/6/2001 08:06:04 AM

I need to break down and finally buy this poster already... might make a nice birthday present for myself.

This one is interesting too! Jackie Chan stick figure fighting? How the heck did this guy do it?
Genesis Whitmore 8/5/2001 04:18:50 PM

Hyakugojyuuichi!! If this makes any sence at all to you, you probably need help.
Genesis Whitmore 8/5/2001 04:10:33 PM

You HAVE read The Sith Academy collection of fanfiction stories, haven't you? Mind you, the latter ones are mostly gay fanfiction, but Darth Maul Goes Shopping and Darth Maul Gets a Pet are funny!
Genesis Whitmore 8/5/2001 12:29:21 PM

Yes, the template keeps changing. It'll change until I find one I like.
Genesis Whitmore 8/5/2001 11:26:48 AM

I just caught the trailer for a movie called From Hell that's coming out this October. It's about a psychic detective hunting for Jack the Ripper from what I gather. Normally I'm not into murder movies but this one looks slanted just oddly enough that it has potential without being blatant. (I hate that title though!)
Genesis Whitmore 8/5/2001 11:02:56 AM

I'm getting dark circles under my eyes lately, so I'm trying out Pond's Soothing Cucumber Eye Treatments to see if I can clear them up. Of course, going to bed at a decient hour might help a little bit as well...
Genesis Whitmore 8/5/2001 03:13:30 AM

After a massive amount of searching I finally came across a review for the play Listen Close that my friend Bruce Rowe acted in. The play has only been performed in two theaters, and is 99% monologues, and from what I've been told it'll scare the heck out of you. But one thing I felt that was particularly poignant about it was an observation made by the main character... that people don't listen anymore, they're only waiting for their chance to talk. Despite the brutality and the gore, that's a thought to ponder.
